Cambridge English: Young Learners Program (ages 7-12) Patchi English School’s curriculum and materials are primarily based on The Cambridge English: Young Learners Program which prepare students for the world-recognized Cambridge English Assessment Tests, offered in over 160 countries worldwide as a language evaluation criterion for an average of 8 million students per year. The Cambridge English Language Assessment, created by the Council of Europe with support from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, has become a qualification and benchmarking tool that is utilized worldwide to determine student’s English level for educational and professional purposes. The Cambridge English Language Assessment Test is recognized worldwide by over 8,500 universities, employers, and government organizations and unlike other language proficiency test certifications, does not have an expiration date. 

 At Pachi English School we prepare students for the three Cambridge language assessment tests that are offered for elementary school students between the ages of 7 and 12: Starters, Movers, and Flyers. The Young Learners assessment tests and preparation materials are focused on children’s first language and cognitive development as well as creating a positive first impression for the children’s first foreign language learning experience. All three levels emphasize gaining proficiency in the following categories: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. The textbooks provide colorful pictures and fun activities to motivate, interest, and engage our students in this age group. All of the materials are focused on daily life conversations and vocabulary with an emphasis on correct grammar structure and word usage. We engage our students with fun communicative games and activities in a way that encourages our young learners to fall in love with English!
